Morgan's Shoes Pedorthic Services
Feet come in different shapes and sizes. Your feet are as unique as you are. Not only do feet come in different lengths and widths, but also they vary greatly in bone structure, and placement of the muscles and tendons. Moreover, your feet will change over time. As you get older, your feet will naturally lengthen and broaden. Every step you take affects the shape of your foot, as well as the bones, muscles and tendons. These changes, compounded with injuries, illness, and diseases will require your feet to have special care.
Morgan's Shoes has six full-time Certified Pedorthists on staff to assist you with your pedorthic needs. We know that pedorthics is more than the mechanics of the foot. Pedorthists consider all of the involved components: the sock, orthotic, shoe, and outsole configuration, in addition to your foot. A proper relationship between all these factors is the key to successful treatment. Whether the challenge is a diabetic foot, a post-polio foot, trauma in the lower extremity, or neuromuscular dysfunction, you may rest assured in knowing our pedorthic professionals will provide the best possible service. Our pedorthists work our store hours, including days, nights, and weekends, to make it as convenient as possible for you to receive the best possible care. However, we do ask that you make an appointment before you come in, by calling 608.238.3509.

Medicare
People with diabetes and other health care issues sometimes require special footwear. A doctor may prescribe custom or modified shoes and inserts. Often, this is a medical necessity, and may be covered by Medicare.
Morgan's Pedorthic Services can fill your doctor's prescriptions, and we are now authorized to accept Medicare payments.
You need a prescription signed by Medical Doctor (M.D.), a Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.), or a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (D.P.M.) for Medicare to consider the claim.
Generally speaking, Medicare will cover one pair of shoes per year, and possibly extra inserts, as well as the fitting done by the Pedorthist.
There are numerous exceptions, and Medicare will only cover what it deems "reasonable and necessary".
Medicare has guidelines, which define what is "reasonable and necessary", and they have the final say in determining what does and what does not fall within these guidelines.
The patient will be responsible to pay for any products or services that Medicare doesn't cover.
